Socks for Seniors Sock Drive
In an effort to warm the hearts and feet of local senior citizens during the colder winter months, United Way of Calhoun County holds an annual Socks for Seniors sock drive! During the event, drop boxes will be located throughout Calhoun County for your convenience or, if you prefer we do the shopping for you, you are able to make donations through our online portal here. At the close of the drive, all monetary donations will be used to purchase socks at our local Walmart which will be included with the distribution.
Through the gracious support of local individuals, businesses, and organizations, we have been able to distribute much needed socks to local organizations serving senior residents throughout Calhoun County the last four years!
This year, we are changing things up a bit and starting our drive a bit earlier and will be calling it SOCKTOBER! Our 2025 Socktober Socks for Seniors Sock Drive will run through October 31st. A list of drop off locations can be found by clicking the link below.
